My son's first visit was May 4th. The whole staff was so welcoming and nice and made us feel at home. They are quick but also take their time with their patients as well. Danielle and Dominique and the Dentist himself were awesome. I love this place and recommend ANYONE to go there!!

I saw Dr. Cowen today, twice today actually. I had an initial consult where he took some xrays and gave me a couple of ways we could go about fixing the problem I was having. It’s been about 8 years or so since I’ve been to the dentist and I was super nervous but with the help of him and his staff, I was more than satisfied. Dr. Cowen ended up doing a tooth extraction and bone graft so that I can have an implant put in in a few months. I literally didn’t feel a thing, from start to finish this was a pain free experience. Might I add the full extraction and bone graft only took 35 minutes and I was out of the office by 4:45. Even hours later I’ve only had about 800mg of Ibuprofen along with lots of rest and my pain is still very manageable. He did prescribe me pain meds but my pain has not reached a point where I think I’ll need it. I 100% recommend Dr. Cowen and all of his staff. They are truly an amazing group of people. So glad to say I’ve found my new dental home.

Today was my first visit to Southern Oaks Family Dental. I went in for a cleaning and check-up. I was extremely pleased with the whole experience!! The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The hygienist who worked on me, Brittany, was as friendly as she was efficient. My teeth felt great when she finished! Dr. Norris performed my check-up. I had one tooth that needed some work to repair some damage and she was able to attend to it immediately, no need for a return visit. Dr. Norris and her assistant, Alex, put me at ease from the first moment I entered the exam room. They worked so well as a team to take care of me. They were wonderful!!!! I will definitely return to Southern Oaks for my dental care!

My best dental experiences have been at Southern Oaks Family Dental Care. They are friendly, caring and experienced! Minimal wait time, which is always a plus for me. Also, I really appreciated how my hygienist, Brittany, was extremely gentle during my cleaning. Dr. Norris and Ashley were great as well. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Southern Oaks Family Dental Care. This office is so warm and welcoming from the time you walk in, until the time you leave. The front office is so friendly and can answer any questions you may have regarding insurance or finances. Danielle is basically an insurance guru, she can help you maximize all of your benefits throughout the year. Dr. Cowen, Dominique and Yadi have taken such great care of me and my family at each appointment, they make you feel so comfortable. My family of six went in Friday morning at 8am and all 6 of us were done by 10am! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We had a great experience. They were so patient and kind with my children and made us very comfortable. Always checking on us and explaining each step they took . Gave great advice! I highly recommend them!

Dr. Cowen & Dr. Oswald are both wonderful, gentle and patient with me, as I am very nervous when I have to have dental work done. Dominique, my hygienist does an awesome job. Love it! I've recommended Southern Oaks to so many people! My whole family started seeing Dr. Cowen and everyone is extremely pleased. They have awesome hygienists--so gentle & thorough and they explain things so well. I'm a nervous patient--Dr. Cowen recently did a few fillings on me and he was so gentle and made me feel more at ease/comfortable. I didn't even feel the injection when he numbed me! I would recommend this office to anyone! Everyone here is friendly--they treat you like family--and they answer all your questions/concerns! They truly care about your dental care! I honestly can't imagine going anywhere else!!

Dr Cowen is the best dentist ever. My kids love him and have no fear of going to the dentist. The few times I've had to have a shot and Dr Cowen gave it to me, I didn't feel the shot. I can't say enough good things about Dr Cowen. He is genuinely concerned about his patients and their experience. I recommend him to everyone. He was my dentist in Shreveport and I will be driving the four hour trip to Baton Rouge just to see him.

I love my dentist both old and new. I started with Dr. Oswald then moved to Dr. Cowen because the appointment times are more conducive to my work schedule and believe you me they have not missed a beat. Dr. Cowen greeted me we established a plan of action to address my issues... Dominique did my cleaning and even though I was a "Nervous Wreck", she was extremely patient, gentle and truly concerned about my comfort level....Best Staff Ever!
